We crowned the year with a remarkable reunion—a celebration of both new and long-serving members of the Tax Appeals Tribunal . It was a distinct honor to recognize and celebrate our past leaders who laid the strong foundation for the Tribunal.

We celebrated the Hon. Justice Dr. Asa Mugenyi, now a Court of Appeal Judge, who dedicated 15 years of exemplary service as a past Chairperson. Also honored were the founding members, Mr. George William Mugerwa, who served with distinction for 23 years, and Dr. Stephen Besweri Akabway, who gave 15 years of devoted service to the Tribunal.

These noble gentlemen served the Tribunal with steadfast commitment, leaving behind an enduring legacy. As they have since passed on the mantle, we remain committed to upholding their vision and building on the strong foundation they established.
