The Government withdrawals the National Tribunal Bill, 2024

Government has withdrawals the National Tribunal Bill, 2024 that sought to merge the Tax Appeals Tribunal with the Electricity Disputes Tribunal after Jonathan Odur (Erute South) rejected the merger arguing that Tribunals are specialized, courts and tailor made for specific purpose such as; it is wrong for Government to try lump them into one body.

The withdrawal was made by Nobert Mao, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs who admitted to have grasped the matters of contention raised by the Opposition, in their minority report.
